The BWCA can be considered a week of paddling, portaging your canoe, and fighting off mosquitoes. You can compete with those mosquitoes, fight the flies for your own share of the food, or you can challenge the elements of Northern Minnesota in the dead of winter!
There are no bugs, and there's usually a pretty good sight to choose from. The food is excellent, you see. No worries about your food spoiling for the weekend. Your only real problem is trying to keep you cordials from freezing...
